Early Childhood Hearing Outreach (ECHO) 

Illinois works with the Early Childhood Hearing Outreach (ECHO) initiative that is a part of the National Center for Hearing Assessment and Management at the Utah State University. The ECHO Initiative focuses on extending the benefit of periodic hearing screening to children 0 - 3 years of age in a variety of health and education settings.

The Illinois EHDI program currently works with Early Head Start and Parents as Teachers programs. Technical assistance and training is available.  For questions in Illinois, please email:
